Sometimes you wait a long time for a photo. I have been trying to capture this portrait for a long time. Waiting for the perfect moment when the water at night is an inky black, the facial growth is enough to add coloration and texture but not so extreme that it becomes unrecognisable.
The camera settings, composition and soft lighting worked out perfectly to capture this moving lion fish as it hunts at night. Because I shoot using a wide angle lens, I am actually very close to its poisonous fins, so I had one eye checking that it didn’t swim onto my hand. Really pleased with the shot.

Coral Carnival is a new large-scale sculpture seri

Coral Carnival is a new large-scale sculpture series drawing inspiration from Grenada's
vibrant annual carnival called; Spicemas. The sculptural procession portrays a range of
symbolic carnival characters each celebrating the country's unique culture and history. Created
in collaboration with a talented team of local Grenadian artists @jemillafrancisart @frederickteddy @clear_ambition_art. 25
stylised sculptures capture the essence of some of Grenada's most iconic masqueraders, including Jab Jab, Wild Indian, Fancy más, Short Knee and Vieux Corps. Painted with organic pigments such as squid ink and tumeric, the elevated details of feathers and hats aim to attract the colorful sponges and corals prevalent in the area.
